Islamabad: Three commodores of Pakistan Navy have been promoted to the rank of rear admiral, Bol News reported.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, Rear Admiral Mazhar Mehmood Malik, Rear Admiral Shehzad Hamid and Rear Admiral Azhar Mehmood are among those promoted.

Rear Admiral Mazhar Mehmood Malik was commissioned in Marine Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1992 while Rear Admiral Shahzad Hamid and Rear Admiral Azhar Mehmood were commissioned in Operations Branch in 1993.

Moreover, the three promoted officers are graduates of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and National Defense University Islamabad.

Added to that the officers have performed several important responsibilities of command and staff in the Pakistan Navy.
