Toyota Corolla Cross Launches First Locally Assembled Hybrid in Pakistan

Indus Motor Company (IMC) has introduced the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, the first-ever locally assembled Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) in Pakistan. The unveiling ceremony in Karachi was attended by Toyota representatives and government officials.

Mohamedali R. Habib, IMC’s Chairman, thanked everyone involved and highlighted the strong bond between Japan and Pakistan, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind this achievement.

Yoshiyuki Takai, President of Toyota’s Emerging-market Compact Car Company, highlighted the growing interest in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) in Asia. He expressed confidence that Pakistani customers would embrace the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, recognizing its appeal, efficiency, and excitement—similar to its success in other markets.

The Toyota Corolla Cross HEV comes with a 1798cc Hybrid engine that generates 168 horsepower and 305 Nm torque, paired with a Direct Shift Constant Variable Transmission (CVT).

Leather Seats available only on the flagship model

Auto Dual AC on the flagship model, and Auto Single-Mode AC on the base variant

Rear AC Vents on the flagship model, with no AC vents on the base variant

In terms of safety features, while not all details were confirmed, the international variant includes:
