ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday ordered to remove Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari’s name from the Passport Control List (PCL), Bol News reported.
The high court announced this verdict on the petition seeking removal of Shireen Mazari’s name from the PCL. “Placing Shireen Mazari’s name on the Passport Control List is unfair and illegal,” she said.
The IHC ordered the director general Immigration and Passport to remove her name and submit report to the deputy registrar within a week. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the Islamabad High Court announced the reserved verdict.
On November 21, the court had reserved its verdict after the arguments of the litigants. On the recommendation of Islamabad Police, Shireen Mazari’s name was included in the PCL list.
