KARACHI: The US dollar rate in Pakistan witnessed a marginal loss against the Pakistani rupee in the open market on Thursday.
During the day, currency dealers said that the rupee was traded at 286.5 for selling and 283.5 for buying purposes for customers.
At the end of trading on Wednesday, the currency had closed at 287 for selling and 284 for buying, according to data provided by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP).
In the inter-bank market, the US dollar stood at Rs285.17 level against the Pakistani rupee.
The Pakistani rupee registered gains against the US dollar for the third consecutive session on Thursday.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee settled at 285.17, an increase of Re0.22.
