The Election Commission of Pakistan has delivered the reserved verdict to PTI, directing the party to conduct intra-party elections within the next 20 days.
The verdict was delivered by a four-member commission, headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani.
The decision comes in response to the PTI’s failure to carry out transparent intra-party elections, prompting the Election Commission to intervene.
The ECP, in its verdict, highlighted the necessity for PTI to ensure transparent processes in its intra-party elections.
As per the directive, the election body has mandated PTI to organize intra-party elections within the stipulated 20-day period.
Additionally, a stern warning was issued that, in the event of the party’s failure to conduct these elections, the election symbol could be withdrawn.
