CHARSADDA: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar visited the residence of late former Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan in Charsadda on Monday (today).
Condoling with the bereaved family, the Prime Minister offered Fateha for the departed soul.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister said Azam Khan was a very capable officer and his services in the Caretaker Provincial Government are unforgettable.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arshad Hussain Shah also accompanied the Prime Minister.
On November 11, late former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Azam Khan had passed away, several hours after being admitted to a hospital.
He was brought to a private hospital in Peshawar for treatment a night before, spokesperson of the private hospital had said. The spokesperson had said the caretaker CM was under treatment at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) Hospital.
A doctor of the hospital, Gulzar had said the CT MRI scan showed that he had a hernia. He had also having problem of diarrhea and vomiting for four days, he had said. He was brought to the hospital for chest pain.
His funeral prayer would be held at 3:30 pm in Charsadda.
He had taken oath as the caretaker CM on Jan 21, 2023. Muhammad Azam Khan was a retired bureaucrat, he had also served as the Finance Minister, Federal Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs.
