KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has claimed that the alliance of the MQM and PML-N will benefit the whole Pakistan.
He said this while addressing a press conference along with MQM Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui after a meeting of the two parties held in Muttahida headquarters Bahadurabad, here on Sunday.
Earlier, a PML-N delegation consisting of former Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Bashir Memon and others arrived the MQM headquarters where the two parties discussed various issues related to the upcoming elections. The PML-N delegation also gave the MQM leaders a special message of Nawaz Sharif.
Saad said, “I am grateful to the leadership of MQM for inviting us here.”
He further said, “We believe that the process of fair distribution of resources should go beyond the provinces and time has come to fix the formula for equitable distribution of resources.”
He observed that Pakistan is suffering from economic problems at the moment.

He told that an advisory committee would be announced soon by the MQM and PML-N soon in future, adding that there was no discussion regarding the distribution of seats.
Saad said that they also had discussions with JUI and Functional League chief. Efforts will be made to create a coalition representing the aspirations of the people in Sindh.
On the occasion, MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Pakistan was also struggling with all kinds of crisis, adding that after the distribution of resources, Pakistan would become a country, being capable of leading the nation of Islam.
The Constitution of Pakistan will be made to protect the rights of ordinary Pakistanis, he said and added that just as the federal government and the province had constitutional protection, the city government also needed to get protection in the constitution.
NFC should be subject to PFC and powers should be brought to the doorsteps of ordinary Pakistanis.
He concluded that together we must recognize each other’s mandate.
