Karachiites have started experiencing a change in weather, as chilly winds have swept through the city during the night and early morning.
Despite the cool start, the daytime forecast promised a return to relatively warm conditions, creating a weather rollercoaster for the residents.
The night had seen the mercury dip to a cool 17.5 degrees Celsius, setting a new minimum temperature record.
As the day unfolded, Karachi braced itself for a maximum temperature ranging between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.
However, the twist lay in the air itself – with a humidity ratio soaring to a record 63%, adding a hint of moisture to the atmosphere. By evening, the humidity was expected to ease, settling around 40 to 50 percent.
The persistent winds, blowing steadfastly from the northeast, became a defining feature of the day.
A notable highlight was the recording of a 4 Nautical Mile wind speed, a record-setting breeze from the North East that added an extra layer of briskness to the coastal air.
