In a groundbreaking move, Regal Automobiles, under the DFSK banner, is gearing up to introduce the locally assembled SERES 3 Electric Vehicle (EV) to the Pakistani market. The company’s strategic decision aligns with the growing global shift towards electric mobility, driven in part by the relentless surge in fuel costs.
Regal Motors has announced the launch of both Completely Knocked Down (CKD) and Completely Built Unit (CBU) variants of the Seres 3, each accompanied by a distinct price tag. The Seres 3 CBU, available at a competitive price of Rs. 11,799,000, is open for booking at an initial cost of Rs. 5,000,000, with delivery expected within three months. On the other hand, the locally assembled Seres 3 comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,599,000, a booking fee of Rs. 3,000,000, and an estimated delivery date of March 2024.
In a recent move to build anticipation, Regal Motors invited prospective customers for test drives of the Seres 3. Feedback from one test driver highlighted the EV’s remarkable features, describing it as “more economical, soundless, and environmentally friendly, with the thrill of enjoying instant torque.” The Seres 3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9 seconds, delivering an exhilarating driving experience.
One of the standout features of the SERES 3 is its impressive range of 400 km under ideal conditions, thanks to its fully charged 50 kWh battery. The test driver, having charged the vehicle at home, reported a seamless experience, with the EV reaching a full charge of 30% by 6 AM after being plugged in at 11 PM the previous night. This not only showcases the practicality of the EV for city dwellers but also eliminates the need to hunt for charging stations.
Regal Motors aims to address the growing demand for sustainable and cost-effective transportation solutions in the wake of escalating fuel prices. The introduction of the SERES 3 is a significant stride toward achieving this goal, offering Pakistani consumers an enticing alternative in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
While the specific launch date remains uncertain, earlier indications pointed towards a mid-October release. The anticipation surrounding the Seres 3 launch reflects the eagerness of Pakistani consumers to embrace the future of transportation, one that is both eco-friendly and economically viable.
As Pakistan inches closer to a new era in automotive technology, Regal Motors stands poised to lead the charge, ushering in a wave of electric vehicles that could redefine the country’s transportation landscape. The SERES 3, with its blend of affordability, performance, and eco-friendliness, promises to be a pivotal player in shaping the future of mobility in Pakistan.
