Nadia Mohamed, a 27-year-old Somali-American politician, has become the first Black mayor of St. Louis Park in 170 years, winning with 58% of the vote over retired banker Dale A. Anderson. Mohamed, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Metropolitan State University, began her political career at the age of 23, becoming the city council’s youngest member.
