How To Apply for New Passport
If you’re applying for a passport for the first time, here’s what you need to know:
Visit the Passport Office or Foreign Mission
To begin the process, visit the relevant passport office or foreign mission, depending on your location.
Required Documents (Ages 18 and Above)
Evidence of the prescribed passport fee payment, through an original bank-paid fee challan (receipt) or e-payment confirmation detail (SMS or email), along with the PSID number
Original valid CNIC/NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) with a photocopy
Previous passport in original with its photocopy (if previously issued)
NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the concerned department if you are a government, semi-government, or autonomous body employee.
Foreign passport along with its photocopy (for dual nationals only).
In case of a lost passport, bring a lost passport police report mentioning the previous passport number.
Urgent Passport Fee Update (November 2023)
As of November 2023, the urgent fees for 36-page, 72-page, and 100-page passports remain unchanged. The urgent fee is Rs6,000 for the 36-page passport, Rs10,000 for the 72-page passport, and Rs13,000 for the 100-page passport.
