Birds worth Rs2mn stolen from ex-DIG house in Karachi

KARACHI: Police on Monday said birds worth Rs2 million were stolen from house of a former DIG police in Karachi’s Gulshan e Maymar area, Bol News reported.

Police said the suspects entered house of the former DIG, Raja Mumtaz, late night. Raja Mumtaz had kept birds on his roof.

The suspects easily fled from the scene after stealing the expensive birds. Police reached site of the incident and collected evidence from the crime scene.

On November 5, a citizen was robbed of Rs0.8 million cash in a span of 25 seconds in Gulshan e Hadeed area of Karachi, Bol News had reported.

Bol News had obtained a surveillance camera footage which showed three motorcycle riders blocking the car with their bike and withdrawing guns before searching the vehicle.

The robbers had completed the robbery in 25 seconds and easily fled away with the cash.
