ISLAMABAD: The Official Secret Act Court on Monday issued a notice to the Adiala Jail superintendent for not letting the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman talk to his sons on phone, Bol News reported.
The notice was issued by Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain issued the notice. The petition was filed by PTI chairman’s lawyer Shiraz Ahmed Ranjha Advocate.
The petition said despite the court order, the jail superintendent did not let the PTI chief talk to his sons Sulaiman and Qasim. Hence, the jailer did not implement the court order, it said.
The plea said contempt of court proceeding should be initiated against the Adial Jail superintendent for not implementing the court orders. The plea also asked the court to issue order to the jail officials to make the PTI chief talk to his sons.
Issuing the notice to jail officials, the court has adjourned the hearing till November 8.
