ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said the caretaker government was committed to hold free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

In an interview with a local news channel, he said the government would provide all out support to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the conduct of elections.

The minister said it was gratifying that Pakistan was moving towards a constitutional process that would result in the people electing a political government.

He said any doubts should be removed as the date for elections was announced.
