 Karachi: The data of illegal immigrant students studying in government schools in Karachi was collected on Saturday, Bol News reported.

According to details, 55 illegal immigrant students are studying in various schools in South District, while 24 students are studying in Korangi District and 15 students are studying in Central District.

Added to that, there are 14 Afghan students studying in District West, 7 in Malir, 4 in Kemari, and 2 in District East.

According to the Director of Schools Sindh, orders were given to the district education officers of all districts to collect data.

Additionally, this list of foreign students in government schools will be provided to the Sindh government.

Earlier, Police on Friday arrest 25 more illegal immigrants during a search operation from Sugarcane Market in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth area, Bol News reported.

Police said the search operation was being carried out against the illegal immigrants. SSP East Irfan Bahadur said operation against illegal immigrants was underway in Sohrab Goth and it would continue until all the illegal immigrants were sent back to their countries.

“I myself am supervising the operation. A heavy contingent of police is taking part in the operation including SP Sohrab Goth. A lady searcher is also present in the contingent who is collecting data of women,” he said.
