In a welcome move for Pakistani car enthusiasts, Changan Master Motors has joined the ongoing trend of price reductions in the automotive market. The company has unveiled revised ex-factory rates for some of its popular car models, effective November 1, 2023. This decision is likely to be well-received by prospective car buyers who have been eagerly awaiting a respite from rising prices.

Changan Alsvin

Changan Alsvin, a name synonymous with elegance and performance, is at the forefront of this price reduction initiative. Let’s take a closer look at the new rates for Alsvin variants:

The base Alsvin 1.3L M/T Comfort variant will now be available for Rs. 3,799,000, down from its previous price of Rs. 4,149,000, representing a significant decrease of Rs. 350,000.

The Alsvin 1.5L DCT Comfort has also seen a price drop of Rs. 350,000, bringing its cost down to Rs. 4,349,000 from the previous Rs. 4,699,000.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Alsvin 1.5L DCT AT Lumiere variant will now be accessible for Rs. 4,549,000, down by a substantial Rs. 450,000 from its old rate of Rs. 4,999,000.

Changan Oshan X7

The Changan Oshan X7, known for its style and performance, has also witnessed price reductions.

The Changan Oshan X7 Comfort variant will be priced at Rs. 8,299,000, a decrease of Rs. 250,000 from its previous rate of Rs. 8,549,000.

Similarly, the Oshan X7 FutureSense variant has seen its price drop by Rs. 250,000, making it available at Rs. 8,949,000 compared to its former price of Rs. 9,199,000.

Changan M9 Sherpa

Changan Master Motors is also passing on the benefits of the exchange rate fluctuations to its customers with the Changan M9 Sherpa. The pickup truck will now be available at a price of Rs. 2,179,000, a reduction of Rs. 350,000 from its previous price of Rs. 2,529,000.

The primary reason behind this much-awaited price reduction is the appreciation of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) against the US dollar (USD). Local car companies have been proactive in passing on these currency-related benefits to their valued customers. Changan’s decision to reduce prices is in line with other leading automobile manufacturers, including Kia, MG, Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai Pakistan, all of whom have recently announced price cuts on their models. It is expected that more companies will follow suit, leading to an overall positive trend in the market.

For consumers who have seen car prices steadily rise over the past few years, this is undoubtedly welcome news. With these price reductions, the dream of owning a new car becomes more attainable for many, providing a ray of hope in challenging economic times.
