The process of repatriation of Afghan citizens residing illegally in Pakistan continues, and so far, a total of 67,980 Afghan refugees have returned to their homeland, Bol News reported.
Afghan citizens are returning to their country through the Torkham and Chaman borders. On October 24, 3,185 Afghan citizens returned to their country.
Those 3,185 Afghans who left yesterday include 670 men, 593 women, and 1992 children who safely repatriated from Pakistan.
The 274 families packed their bags to their homeland in 103 vehicles for departure to Afghanistan.
It should be noted that the federal government has given a deadline of October 31 for illegally staying foreigners to leave Pakistan, after which many families have returned to Afghanistan.
According to the Afghan Commissionerate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), the number of registered Afghan refugees in the province is one million.
Added to that, 7,75,000 Afghans entered Pakistan illegally, among which more than 3,000,00 are Afghan citizens who came to Pakistan after the establishment of the Taliban government.
Moreover, this year, 3,911 Afghans were found guilty of various crimes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, the number of Afghans residing in Balochistan is said to be around 0.85 million; according to an estimate, 0.25 million of them are residing illegally.

Eerlier, the federal government has given a deadline of October 31 to illegal immigrants from across the country to leave Pakistan, after which a large number of Afghan migrants have started leaving Pakistan from the Sohrab Goth Afghan settlement in Karachi.
