The Toyota Fortuner is a midsize SUV that’s built using the platform of the Hilux pickup truck. This vehicle is created by Toyota, the prominent Japanese automobile manufacturer. It was introduced in December 2004, with its first generation offering four engine choices: two petrol and two diesel.
The Fortuner comes with the option of rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) configuration. It also offers a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4 or 5-speed automatic transmission.
The original Fortuner made its debut in Pakistan in February 2013. It was initially available in two versions: the Fortuner 2.7 VVT-i and TRD Sportivo, both powered by the 2.7-liter 2TR-FE engine.
In 2015, the second iteration of the Toyota Fortuner was introduced. This version showcased a fresh design approach labeled as the ‘keen look’, setting it apart from the Hilux. It incorporated contemporary features such as ABS, EBD, dual airbags in addition to knee airbags, a follow me home light function, all-around sensors, a glove box with cooling functionality, digital automatic climate control, and power windows that automatically closed, along with an adjustable tilt and telescopic steering wheel, all as standard features.
