Imran Nazir is a notable Pakistani former batsman who began playing cricket in the late 1990s. His courageous batting as an opener helped him become an integral member of the national cricket squad and a household name.
Imran Nazir was a fantastic fielder as well as a fantastic batter. He is well-known for his massive Sixes.
Many firms used to hire him for brand endorsements when he was at the top of his profession, but his cricket career ended prematurely. Imran Nazir is currently involved in the Real Estate industry.
He recently appeared on Nadir Ali’s podcast, where he described a horrific occurrence that occurred while he was imprisoned. He admitted to spending three days in jail.
“It just happened but I don’t know what that scene was, only Allah knows, but it’s true that there was a pistol in my bag, everyone knows about it, I don’t know where that pistol came from but I had a strong faith as a Muslim and later I was clear from it, they investigated it and I was clear,” he said.
I used to live in Murreed K, and it was my first foreign journey; I was going to Karachi. Obviously, I didn’t check my bags too many times; there was no trend at the time of checking luggage repeatedly. I was stunned when they apprehended me; I’m still unfamiliar with guns, but it was a handgun.
After three nights in detention, PCB intervened and I was released. They looked after me in jail. PCB aided me. Following that, I played cricket and set numerous records.
My superiors advised me to put this horrific tragedy behind me and concentrate on the game, which I did.”
