PSL 2023: Ihsanullah dedicated his medal to his father

  • Ihsanullah became the first rising player in PSL history to win the tournament’s best player title.
  • Multan reached the PSL final for the third year in a row.
  • He thanked Allah in an interview after getting his honor.

Ihsanullah of Multan Sultans, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 player-of-the-tournament, dedicated his medal to his father.

Ihsanullah became the first rising player in PSL history to win the tournament’s best player title. The right-arm pacer got 22 wickets and put up a strong effort to earn two trophies.

Ihsanullah thanked Allah in an interview after getting his honor. “Thank you, Almighty Allah, for this honor. I’d like to dedicate this award to my father, who has been there for me throughout my journey “He stated.

Throughout the tournament, Ihsanullah was Multan’s preferred bowler. Multan, headed by Mohammad Rizwan, reached the PSL final for the third year in a row.

In response to a question about his learning experience during his first PSL season, Ihsanullah credited Rizwan and the firm. “My knowledge has greatly expanded. Rizwan Bhai and other seniors backed me up. Alhamdulillah, I was able to perform for my squad. I will attempt to maintain this level of performance in the future “He came to a conclusion.

No bowler had ever won player-of-the-tournament honours prior to Ihsanullah. The last seven winners of this prize are: Mohammad Rizwan (2020, Multan Sultans), Babar Azam (2020, Karachi Kings), Shane Watson (2019, Quetta Gladiators), Luke Ronchi (2018, Islamabad United), and Ravi Bopara (2016, Karachi Kings) (2022, Multan Sultans).
