During the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight, Islamabad United won the toss and elected to bowl first against Peshawar Zalmi at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday.
The winner of today’s match will advance to the second Eliminator, which will take place tomorrow at the same location.

Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars in yesterday’s Qualifier to secure their place in the PSL 8 final. The defending champions, on the other hand, will have another chance to qualify for the final in the second Eliminator.
Peshawar is led by Pakistan’s most prolific batter, Babar Azam, while Islamabad is led by all-rounder Shadab Khan.
In terms of head-to-head competition, both teams won one match each during the PSL 8 league stage.
