The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that today’s playoff match will go as planned despite the tense situation in Lahore’s Zaman Park regarding Imran Khan’s arrest.
Pakistan’s cricket governing body posted a tweet saying, “The PSL8 Qualifier in Lahore today will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium as scheduled.”

A standoff over Imran Khan’s arrest between members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the police is causing tension in Lahore. According to court orders, the police have been attempting to arrest the PTI chief since yesterday.
The playoff match between the Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars is scheduled for today at 7 p.m.
The unrest in the city necessitated the cancellation of Tuesday’s practice session for both teams.
Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United advanced to the tournament’s playoffs after their thrilling league-stage matches.
The qualifier match will feature Lahore Qalandars, the current champion, and Multan Sultans, the PSL 2022 runners-up.
The reigning champs are sure they will keep their triumphant force against the Rulers, while the Rizwan-drove side will be hoping to bounce back to its feet and enhancer to the last as they did a year ago.
