ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Sunday said Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb had not retained any gift received during official visits.
“Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ms Marriyum Aurangzeb didn’t retain any gift at all and deposited them in Tosha Khana,” the ministry said in a tweet while rejecting such baseless news.
The ministry also shared a picture of the official record showing that a Rolex watch with a serial number W278343RBR-0024 having model 96 PA Oyster M96PA0021 worth Rs. 2.75 million has been deposited in Toshakhana by the information minister on May 19, 2022.

On March 12, the federal government made the partial record of Toshakhana public and uploaded the record on its official website .
The released record consisted of 446 pages covering the record from 2002 TO 2023. Former presidents, prime ministers, federal secretaries and government officials were among recepients.
That includes the names of former president and chief of army staff General Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former Prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, former prime minister Imran Khan whereas the current President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz were among the beneficiaries as per to the Toshakhana record.
The details of the gifts received by the military officials were also made public.
Details of the gifts of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif: He received three gifts of more than 1.2 million rupees from Kuwait for Rs 0.243 million. The gifts included expensive watches, cufflinks and commemorative coins of Kuwait.
