The outcome also guarantees that Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars will play in the tournament’s qualifier.
After choosing to field first after winning the toss, Islamabad was given a target of 180 runs. However, they were dismissed for 166 in 19.4 overs. In their allotted 20 overs, Zalmi scored 179-8, with Mohammad Haris scoring 79 runs in 39 balls and Bhanuka Rajapaksa chipping in with 41 runs in 25 balls.
