On March 8, the PTI had postponed its election rally in Lahore as part of the election campaign.
This was announced by PTI senior leader Hammad Azhar while talking to media persons outside Zaman Park residence of Imran Khan.
Hammad had said that fascism was at its peak in Pakistan as Punjab police had cracked down on a peaceful election rally of the PTI.
The caretaker government, which was supposed to hold elections, had imposed Section 144 and banned its TV coverage.
“I urge all workers to remain calm and disperse peacefully and go back their homes,” the PTI leader had said and appealed the activists to remain within the bounds of law and avoid clashes with police.
