Dr Salman Khan, a Pakistani by birth, became the first Pakistani to establish six significant marathon competitions under the Abbott World Marathon Majors, a significant title in the global history of marathon competitions.

Those who finish the marathons in Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, and Tokyo are awarded the six-star marathon championship medal.

Salman made the decision to dedicate himself to obtaining the six-star medal while running in the Boston Marathon.

The medalist, who is Pakistani by birth, expressed in an interview how much the award means to him and to his nation, adding that he would also “want to participate in the Paris Olympian marathon championship in 2024 if feasible.”

The winner added that he would like to participate in the Boston Marathon each year because it gives him the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. The five races all have something to offer, he continued.

The marathon runner also gave advice to people planning to do the race, telling them to have fun. In order to receive the award in their name, he stressed, people must continue to be consistent and dedicated.

The Pakistani-born runner expressed his desire to motivate his people in a message to his fellow Pakistanis. “Nothing is impossible,” he continued to say.

11 Pakistani or Pakistani-born American and British citizens, including five women, collectively competed in the marathon competition on March 5.

Other Pakistanis who competed in the Tokyo Olympics included Hamid Butt, Rabia Naeem, Ayesha Qamar, Fahad Mukhtar, Prem Kumar, Huma Rehman, Fawad Kareem, Ayesha Akhtar, Hasan Tajdar, and Sarah Lodhi. The medalist was the only Pakistani.
