PZ vs KK Match 17: Peshawar Zalmi sets the Target “198” for Karachi Kings | PSL 2023

  • Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first.
  • Mohammad Amir gave Karachi Kings a winning start
  • Haseebullah scored an outstanding fifty to help his team.

After removing Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris from the game in the first over of the innings, pacer Mohammad Amir gave Karachi Kings a winning start against Peshawar Zalmi. For a duck, both batters were out.

Following a carelessly played flick shot, Saim Ayub (1) was caught at deep square leg, giving Amir his third wicket of the game.

But, Haseebullah Khan, a rookie player who is participating in his first game, scored an outstanding fifty to help his team turn things around. Before being bowled by Tabraiz Shamsi, the left-hander hit 50 runs in 29 balls, including four fours and three sixes.

Rovman Powell, who hit the bowlers to every part of the stadium, ended Karachi’s chances of holding Peshawar to a low score. Six fours and four sixes were part of a spectacular 34-ball 64 for him.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings were playing in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), when Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Kings have four points and are ranked fourth following two victories in their last six games.

After five games, Zalmi are in fifth place with four points. Due to a lower net run-rate, they are below Kings.

Zalmi prevailed by two runs in a thrilling match in the PSL 8 opener between the two teams.
