QUETTA: A district and sessions on Wednesday ordered to send Balochistan Minister Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran to jail on judicial remand, Bol News reported.

The provincial minister was produced in the court of the judicial magistrate by the Special Investigation Team after the probe was completed.

The Judicial Magistrate ordered to send Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran to jail on judicial remand. The judge ordered to produce Khetran before the court in Barkhan on March 9.

Earlier, the district and sessions court in Quetta granted police’s crime branch a 10-day physical remand of Khetran. He appeared in court amid strict security on Feb 23 and was remanded in police custody.

Balochistan Minister for Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran is accused of being involved in the gruesome murder of three people whose bullet-riddled bodies were found in a well in the Barkhan district.

Khan Muhammad Marri, a resident of Kohlu, had initially claimed that the deceased was his wife Giran Naz and their two sons. He alleged that five family members were still held captive by Sardar Khetran.

The triple murder saga took a dramatic twist after the post-mortem examination of the bodies revealed that one of the deceased was a 17 to 18-year-old female. The police surgeon said the deceased was raped and tortured before being shot dead.

The medico-legal officer said that the autopsy found that the girl was shot thrice and acid was thrown on her face and neck to hide her identity.  She said that the girl may not be Giran Naz but her daughter.

Levies personnel eventually recovered Marri’s wife Giran Naz who had been presumed dead and their five children including a girl from Kohlu.

Khetran has denied allegations of involvement in the gruesome murder of three people. He said the accusations of owning a private prison and the murder of three people is a conspiracy to damage his political reputation.
