  • Najam Sethi on Wednesday approved skipper Bismah.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi on Wednesday approved Pakistan Women’s Cricket team’s skipper Bismah Maroof.

In a tweet, Najam Sethi stated that he had accepted Bismah’s resignation, citing her desire to make room for younger coworkers.

She will continue to be a regular player for Pakistan, according to Sethi, and “bring laurels for her country.”

Out of 62 T20Is played under Bismah’s direction, Pakistan won 27 and lost 32. Under Bisma’s captaincy, Pakistan won 16 of its 34 ODI games.

As an all-around player, Bismah bats left-handed and bowls right-arm leg break. She surpassed all previous scorers for the Pakistani women’s cricket team in both ODI and T20I formats in June 2022.

She has amassed 3110 runs in 124 ODIs and 2658 runs in 132 T20Is during the course of her 17-year career.
