ATTOCK: Son of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shah Zain Qureshi has said that his father is being treated as a criminal prisoner in jail, adding that the cell where his father is imprisoned was full of lizards, cockroaches and rats where it was difficult to breathe.

He said this while addressing media persons after meeting with his imprisoned father at Attock jail on Monday.

After hard efforts of one week, he had managed to meet his father and said his fear had proved right as his father and other PTI workers and leader are being mistreated by the Punjab government.

In Pakistan, the foundations of the Constitution have been shaken, for whose protection the PTI has launched a court arrest movement, Zain said, adding the PTI leaders were first kept in Kot Lakhpat Jail and shifted to distant jails. The cell where Shah Mehmood Qureshi was imprisoned was full of lizards, cockroaches and rats.

Zain observed that Rana Sanaullah himself did not learn any lesson despite going to jail, adding his father was not taken out of the cell of Attock jail even for an hour.

The Attock jail administration is treating the PTI worketrs and leaders badly  and keeping them with criminals. His father was not even allowed to perform Friday prayers, he asserted.
