GUJRANWALA: An antiterrorism court (ATC) of Gujranwala on Friday issued arrest warrant for Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Bol News reported.
The ATC directed police to arrest Rana Sanaullah and produce him before the court on March 7.
The arrest warrant against the interior minister has been issued in the case lodged at the Industrial police station of Gujarat, under antiterrorism sections on August 5, 2022. The FIR mentions that he threatened the chief secretary and his family members to kill them.
The Gujarat police had dismissed the case and submitted its report to the court. The court rejected the police report and issued warrant to arrest the suspect.

On February 21, an Islamabad accountability court had issued non-bailable arrest warrant for former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Bol News had reported.
The warrant had been issued over Shahid Khaqan’s not appearing before the court in the LNG reference.
Accountability judge Nasir Javed Rana had issued the arrest warrant. Shahid Khaqan did not appear for the hearing in the court that day too.
On January 24, an Accountability Court (AC) had reserved its judgment on the acquittal pleas of co-accused in LNG reference against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others.
