KHANPUR: One woman died and four other people got injured as a bus overturned near Jandupur in Khanpur, Bol News reported.
The rescue sources said that the accident took place because of fog. The passenger bus of Al-Madina company was travelling from Khanpur to Sadiqabad. The injured and dead were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and medico-legal formalities respectively.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sakina wife of Ejaz, a resident of Feroza.
On February 19’s night, at least 14 people were killed and 65 others injured when a bus overturned due to tyre burst near Kallar Kahar in Chakwal.
The bus was en route to Lahore from Islamabad, carrying passengers for a wedding ceremony.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had expressed sorrow over the accident and condoled with the bereaved families of the deceased. In his condolence statement, he had said that he was deeply saddened by the accident.
The prime minister had directed to provide best medical facilities to the injured. He had prayed for patience for the families and speedy recovery of the injured.
The Motorway Police spokesperson had said three people were still stuck inside the bus and attempt was being made to retrieve them by cutting the bus.
The spokesperson had said the bus overturned due to speeding. Two cars and one Suzuki pickup coming from the opposite direction also damaged in the mishap. The police and Rescue 1122 rescued the injured, even though they faced difficulty due to night.
