KARACHI: Al-Khidmat Karachi has donated Rs20 million for quake-hit Turkiye on Tuesday. The “first assistance cheque” has been handed over to the Turk Consul General Cemal Sangu, Bol News reported.
Jamaat e Islami (JI) Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said Turkiye and Syria were suffering from huge financial and life loss and Al-Khidmat was with them in this hour of need.
The cheque was handed over by Hafiz Naeem and Al-Khidmat Karachi Chief Executive Officer Naveed Ali Baig to the consul general.
Hafiz Naeem said the residents of Pakistan were sad over the loss of lives and properties in Turkiye and Syria. “Turkiye has always supported Pakistan in difficult time. We are also with our Turk brothers. Hence, Pakistanis are helping Turkish people in their difficult time,” he said.

He said they prayed to Allah (SWT) to recover the people of Syria and Turkiye soon from this trouble.
Naveed Baig said the teams of the welfare organisation were present in Syria and Turkiye for the relief activities in the affected areas.
“Volunteers of Al-Khidmat are busy with modern tools in the affected areas to search the people stuck under the rubble,” he said adding that they would continue the relief and rescue operations.
Cemal Sangu thanked Al-Khidmat for its efforts for the quake-hit areas.
