PSL 2023: Fakhar Zaman, the Lahore Qalandars’ opener, carried on from the previous year during his team’s first Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 match against Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.
In the first game of the competition, Fakhar was spectacular, scoring 66 runs off 42 balls, including three boundaries and five maximums.
The left-handed batter took some time to relax because the power play presented challenges for him. He was fortunate, though, as the top-edge crossed the rope twice.
After Babar Azam, only Fakhar became the second player to reach 2000 runs in the PSL with his outstanding innings on Monday.
Fakhar was a crucial component of the Qalandars’ PSL campaign last season, it is important to note. With 588 runs scored, he led all scorers in the sixth PSL season.
