Countless successful projects and millions of admirers make Faysal Quraishi one of Lollywood’s most versatile actors. The 49-year-old actor, who established himself as a specialist in the entertainment business, will soon be seen in a movie with an intriguing plot.

Recently, the Bashar Momin actor made an appearance on the Ahmed Ali Butt-hosted programme Super Over to talk about his upcoming projects.

The Qaid-e-Tanhai actor provided further information about his future project, Football. Quraishi elaborated on it, saying, “It is truly amazing that people are aware of my future movie and anticipating its release, but the production team needs to make this project a success. Since we had to modify the title of the movie, the project required a lot of work and went through several revisions. As a result, the release was delayed.

Quraishi discussed the storyline of the movie, saying that it centres around a “women’s football squad.”

The star of Mera Pehla Pyaar also spoke about the pretty terrible reason why his film Sorry was cancelled.

Many of the sponsors pulled out of the movie because of the cancel culture, where people are accused without any proof. Despite my best efforts to make everything work and finance it with my own money, the break that followed placed us back.

We began the project after an additional 1.5 years, but many of our industry peers abused us, which was heartbreaking, to put it mildly. Quraishi continued.

“After all the issues and delays, I decided that I would take action later.”

Quraishi recently appeared in the films Muqaddar, Farq, Dil-e-Momin, Baba Jani, Chakkar, Fitoor, and Bashar Momin.
