Online users have been sharing a video of a rat stealing a necklace from a jewellery store that was kept on display. We’re not kidding, either. When you hear the word “jewellery theft,” you automatically picture someone taking priceless jewellery. But have you ever considered a mouse acting similarly? Well, the video is going viral online, so it must have happened.
Rajesh Hingankar, an IPS officer, posted the viral video on Twitter. A rat can be seen taking a necklace from a jewellery store’s display in the 30-second CCTV video. It jumped from a gap and landed directly on the jewellery stand after a brief moment of manoeuvring. The necklace’s latch was successfully opened by the mouse, who then scampered off with it.
The caption of the picture, which was very vaguely translated into English, says, “For whom would this rat have snatched the diamond necklace.”
