ISLAMABAD: The authorities have reportedly sealed the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhary in Islamabad.

Fawad Chaudhry was residing in the house allotted to Senator Shahzad Waseem at the Minister’s Enclave in the federal capital.

Fawad’s wife Hiba Chaudhry claimed that their house was vandalized by police and local authorities when they arrived to meet PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Lahore. She said the Islamabad administration has surrounded their residence in their absence.

She said that Senator Shahzad Waseem’s house has been allotted to them but authorities did not even allow him to enter the Ministers’ Enclave.

Later, in a tweet, Hiba Chaudhry said unknown men are following her car in Lahore.

Earlier today, Fawad Chaudhry called on former prime minister Imran Khan in Lahore, days after he was released from jail on bail in a sedition case.

Fawad Chaudhry visited the PTI chief’s Zaman Park residence where PTI leaders Asad Umar and Ejaz Chaudhry were also present.

During the meeting, Imran Khan praised Chaudhry’s efforts, while other party leaders also paid tribute to the former federal minister.

On Wednesday, Fawad was released from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after a court in Islamabad granted bail to him in a sedition case.

He was arrested from his Lahore residence on January 25 after a case was registered against him by ECP’s secretary at Islamabad’s Kohsar Police Station.
