- Ziyech to stay at Chelsea as move to PSG blocked.
- Ziyech’s proposed loan move to Paris Saint-Germain has fallen through.
- LFP rejected PSG’s appeal this morning.
The proposed loan transfer of Hakim Ziyech to Paris Saint-Germain has been denied by the Professional Football League (LFP).
A deal for the 29-year-old was made before to the French deadline. PSG, however, criticised Chelsea’s conduct and asserted that the required paperwork was not timely submitted.
Ziyech travelled to Paris in hopes of finalising a deal, but the registration process was not complete when he arrived, therefore he will return to Chelsea for the rest of the season.
The athlete made an attempt to resolve the issue by speaking with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly directly, but his efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful.
Additionally, the LFP rejected PSG’s appeal this morning.
Ziyech was awaiting his debut in Paris on Tuesday after clearing his medical examination.
The Blues’ first player to be signed after their transfer ban in 2020 was Ziyech, who cost £33 million and was lured away from Ajax.
However, they have also recruited Mykhailo Mudryk, David Datro Fofana, Noni Madueke, and Joao Felix this month in addition to the English attacker Raheem Sterling who arrived last summer.
