- The Princess of Wales visited a flower shop in Leeds.
- A shopkeeper teased her that Prince William was unlikely to buy her flowers.
- The mother-of-three laughed it off and chose some hyacinths instead.
During her most recent outing in Leeds, Kate Middleton appeared to be in good spirits as she spoke politely with the store owners.
The Princess of Wales and her husband Prince William were touring Kirkgate Market when a shopkeeper teased her that Prince William was unlikely to purchase her flowers on Valentine’s Day.
Before launching her groundbreaking project, Shaping Us, which attempts to increase awareness of a child’s first five years of existence, the mother-of-three made the joke.
The 41-year-old Princess visited the flower shop of Neil Ashcroft to take in his Valentine’s Day floral arrangement. The flower vendor gave Kate a bouquet of hyacinths and said: “I suggested William will be buying her roses and the Princess of Wales responded as saying, I don’t think he will do”.
It should be noted that Kate and William had to spend their first Valentine’s Day apart since William was away serving as an RAF search and rescue pilot for six weeks in the Falkland Islands. However, he made sure to send his sweetheart a card on this special day as a gift.
