KARACHI: A private school teacher has tortured and fractured arm of a student in Korangi area of Karachi, Bol News reported on Tuesday.
The teacher reportedly tortured Abdul Rafay, the 13-year-old boy, for opening book of another teacher during his period. The incident took place at Al-Sehr Academy in Korangi No 2-1/2.
The victim said the teacher beat him with a baton. After beating hard, the teacher asked him not to tell his parents, Abdul Rafay said.
An application for FIR has been submitted at the relevant police station. Father of the victim said they could not waste one year of their kid by withdrawing him from school as exams were near.

The education department said a four-member committee had been formed for inquiry of the matter.
The teacher who allegedly humiliated a young child studying at a private school for speaking in Urdu had been fired from his job, Bol News had reported on January 30.
The Directorate of Private Schools had taken notice of the video circulating on social media in which a student was ridiculed and chalk was applied to his face for speaking in Urdu.
The directorate had formed a three-member committee to investigate which confirmed the incident and instructed the immediate dismissal of the teacher involved.
Chairman of Private Schools Association Tariq Shah had said schools should educate the students and not adopt such attitude. He had said the incident was highly condemnable and immediate action had been taken.
Musa, a young child studying at a private school in North Nazimabad was allegedly humiliated by the school for speaking in Urdu. A video made by the child’s father had been going viral on social media, in which the man narrated the incident.
The child’s father had alleged that his son was ridiculed for speaking in Urdu in school and black ink was applied to his son’s face in school as punishment for speaking in his national language.
