- Chairman of PCB clarifies that he is not an employment agency.
- He also asks them not to solicit excessive favours for any player.
- I cannot, will not, follow bad past practices to erode its professional integrity.
Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee, urged his friends and superiors once more not to expect any favours in exchange for the employment and advancement of staff members within the board.
Sethi clarified on Twitter that he will not continue the dishonest past methods and undermine the integrity of the cricket board for his friends and higher authorities.
I am flooded with “requests” from relatives, friends, acquaintances & persons in authority to hire or promote people in PCB. Please, Please, everyone, understand PCB is not an employment agency. I cannot, will not, follow bad past practices to erode its professional integrity.

Prior to the Pakistan Super League matches, Sethi asked his friends and superiors not to solicit complimentary tickets.
“I’m making a personal plea to all friends and high-ups not to ask for complimentary tickets/passes to PSL matches beginning next month. The Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly, which audits PCB, has advised us to stop!” he tweeted earlier this month.
Furthermore, he asked them not to solicit excessive favours for any player, coach, or undeserving person for a seat on the board or in the cricket team.
