Kamran Akmal, a wicket-keeper batsman, is most likely to be hired as a coach by Peshawar Zalmi for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), according to pacer Wahab Riaz in an interview with a private source.

When asked if he will miss his senior Zalmi teammate Kamran during the interview, Wahab stated that the cricketer is most likely to join his coaching setup of the 2017 PSL champions.

“His absence will undoubtedly be felt,” Wahab added. “However, I have heard that he is most likely to receive a coaching role in the Zalmi setup,” he continued.

From 2016 to 2022, 41-year-old Kamran played for Zalmi. He is presently the PSL’s second-highest scorer, with 1972 runs in 74 innings. He also holds the PSL record for most centuries (3). His batting average in the league is 27.38.

For Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik, who transferred to Karachi Kings in the Platinum and Diamond categories, respectively, before the trade and retention window ended last year, Zalmi acquired Babar in the Platinum category and the first choice in the extra round in one of the largest trades of PSL 8.
