PSL 2023: replacement draught ceremony postponed

  • The Pakistan Super League (PSL) replacement draught ceremony has been postponed.
  • The ceremony was due to take place today, but will now take place tomorrow.
  • All PSL franchises can increase the size of their squads to 20 players after meeting with PCB officials.

The replacement draught ceremony for the upcoming eighth season of the Pakistan Super League has been postponed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) (PSL).

The PCB management has reportedly informed all of the PSL franchises of the development, and the ceremony will now take place tomorrow.

The PSL replacement draught ceremony was set to take place today, with all franchises having the option to increase the size of their squad to 20 players.

In this regard, franchises met with PCB officials last week, as some players may be unavailable due to international commitments.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed to allow all franchises to add two more players to their previously announced 18-man squads.

Earlier today, it was reported that all Pakistani BPL participants who have been selected for the PSL must confirm their availability on February 2.

Players who have received permission from their respective franchises, on the other hand, can participate in the BPL until February 8, with the event ending on February 16.

Last week, PCB also confirmed that the Quetta Gladiators will play a three-match T20 series in Karachi against the Houston Hurricanes, who are based in the United States.

On February 5, the Quetta Gladiators will play the Peshawar Zalmi in an exhibition match at Bugti Stadium in Balochistan.
