- Mohammad Wasim had earlier been removed from his position as chief selector.
Haroon Rasheed has been chosen as the nation’s chief selector for the men’s cricket squad, according to Najam Sethi, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Management Committee.
With immediate effect, Haroon Rasheed, who was a member of the temporary selection committee, resigned from his position to lead the committee.
It should be remembered that Mohammad Wasim had earlier been removed from his position as chief selector by Najam Sethi due to his poor performance. Subsequently, Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistan captain, was elected Interim chief selector till the New Zealand ODI series.
