ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) will hold a protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Punjab office in the afternoon on Tuesday over appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab, Bol News reported.
PTI leader Hammad Azhar said this in a tweet.
“The limit of favoritism has been reached. The public’s patience was tested again and again. Now it’s time to leave. We will protest strongly on Tuesday, in front of the election commission Punjab office at 1 pm,” he said.

He said a handful of people in the system with probably a limited knowledge of history and zero understanding of political dynamics had consistently been ‘overdoing’ it. “Pakistan is today at the precipice economically and politically because of them. There has been no course correction so far,” he said.
Another PTI leader Hassaan Khawar said every time it seemed that the ECP could not fall further but every time they were proved wrong. “By appointing a controversial person as caretaker chief minister, the election commission once again confirmed its openly biased attitude,” he said adding that rigging had started in Punjab elections.
Hammad Azhar said the Pakistan Muslim League-N had become convinced that it cannot win through transparent elections. “That’s why they have been selectively appointing people who despise Imran Khan and do political engineering to make the N-League win somehow. (However) This will remain a dream. So far the plot they have made has backfired,” he said.
