• Shah Mehmood said that the speaker accepted 35 resignations.
• Shah said that Imran Khan’s position was put forward in a meeting.
• He said the rulers do not want to face the people.

LAHORE: Vice President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood said that the speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf  accepted 35 resignations and 35 resignations are left for them. The speaker first accepted our 11 resignations.

Shah Mehmood added that the speaker shirked from constitutional responsibility and said he cannot accept collective resignation. Even though it was announced in the entire assembly secretariat. The speaker refrained from calling the members individually.

Shah said that Imran Khan’s position was put forward in the meeting at KP House and it was found that 35 resignations were approved. Before accepting the resignation the speaker wanted to know that the member did not resign under pressure. The members suggested to go to the speaker directly.
After which Shah Mahmood went to the speaker’s chamber with the members whose resignations were pending. However both the speaker and deputy speaker were not there.

Mehmood accused Ashraf and said, ” he has proved with his action that he is the representative of a certain party. The speaker has already accepted 35 resignations, and “we brought them so that the speaker can confirm his suspicion with them. We asked him to come but he postponed the meeting.”

Shah Mehmood concluded that as long as the government have cases on them, they will prolong the assembly. As the rulers are nervous, and there is no uniformity in their ranks. Because the rulers do not want to face the people.
