RAWALPINDI: Troops of Pakistan Army recently intercepted a group of terrorists in Zhob, Balochistan, as a result of continuous surveillance and sanitisation of the area.
The media wing of military said an operation, based on credible intelligence, was initiated in Sambaza area of Zhob, Balochistan, for 96 hours to deny terrorists use of few suspected routes to move across Pakistan-Afghanistan border to sneak into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along interprovincial boundary and target citizens and security forces.
During the establishment of blocking positions to deny them escape routes, terrorists opened fire onto the security forces.

During ensuing heavy exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed, while Sepoy Haq Nawaz embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) and two other soldiers got injured. The terrorists were supported by their facilitators from across the border as well through fire.
The sanitisation Operation continues in the area to apprehend remaining perpetrators.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Army is at forefront of helping citizens as a severe winter grips various parts of the country.
Despite the extreme weather conditions, the armed forces stepped out to provide assistance to distressed citizens impacted by the severe cold.
The army has distributed warm clothes, blankets, and quilts in Chitral and Swat Valley. It has ensured the provision of winter items to more than 4000 families.
The army is also winter items in other areas as well. The pictures of the army distributing the winter items have also gone viral on social media.
The residents have thanked the Pakistan Army for providing the items. They said the uniform is not just a cloth, but the heartbeat of millions of Pakistanis.
