- Imran Khan, Pervaiz Elahi will meet to discuss caretaker CM
- PML-N will also discuss the names today

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insag (PTI) Chief Imran Khan and outgoing CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi will meet today to discuss the names for the caretaker CM.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that under Article 224-A, both the CM and the leader of the opposition should agree on an interim Punjab CM name with consensus.
“If the two leaders fail to reach an agreement, then two proposed names from each side will be sent to a parliamentary committee,” he added.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will also consider various names for the caretaker chief minister (CM) of Punjab today after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly .
The party sources said that PML-N will consider the names of retired Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramde, former bureaucrat Tariq Masood Khosa and Justice Jawad S.
Pertinently, Punjab Assembly has been dissolved on Saturday, two days after Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi sent a summary.
However, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman refused to sign the summary regarding the dissolution of the provincial assembly.
