LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan contacted Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan to instruct him to dissolve the assembly, according to the sources.
After which, Bol News contacted Special Assistant for Information to KP CM Barrister Saif to comment on the same matter. He said, “We will go on the same pattern as the decision to dissolve the Punjab Assembly has been taken. We will go towards the dissolution of the KP Assembly as announced by Fawad Chaudhary.”
PTI senior leader Fawad Hussain and others made this announcement. While they talked to media persons at Imran Khan’s Park Zaman residence in Lahore on Thursday.
He said that a letter would be written to Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz within the next 48 hours for care-taking set-up.
Hussain said that the conduct of elections will be responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan within 90 days.
Meanwhile, the sources said that PTI chairman Imran Khan would address the nation any time today and would make a formal announcement for the Punjab and KP assemblies.
According to Bol News, Imran Khan also instructed the KP Chief Minister for the dissolution of the assembly.
