KARACHI: According to sources, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 will begin in Karachi rather than Multan.
The management committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly undecided on holding the opening ceremony and the first game of PSL8 in Multan.
The PSL 8 first match on February 13 is most likely to be held in Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA). Multan will only get to host games during the round of 16.
After the home ODI series against New Zealand is over, the final PSL 8 schedule will be revealed.
The opening ceremony of Multan’s first-ever PSL was scheduled to take place earlier. The league’s opening phase was set to be held in Multan and Karachi. The PSL 8 will also be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Najam Sethi, the chairman of the PSL management committee, had nevertheless declared that Quetta would host a few games. Security clearance will be used to determine Quetta’s fate in the end.
